Payroll Setup
The second page of the Setup Menu is the Payroll Setup Page, where the menu is divided into General, Tax Table, Deposit, Others, and Tax Setup.
General
This section contains information about storing employee photo data and the tax calculation method to be used.
The General section includes several setups that need to be filled out:
- Photo Location: Specifies the folder where employee photos are stored. Photos should be scanned and named using the employee number, e.g., 001.jpg or 001.bmp, stored in a folder such as C:\inforsys\photo.
- Photo Extension: Specifies whether the photo format is JPG or BMP.
- Auto Backup: Filters the program's display to hide employees who have resigned, but keeps their data stored in the database.
- Rounding: Used for automatic database backup.
- THP Rounding: Contains tax rounding.
- SQL Instance Name: The name of the server instance.
- Resigned Date: Contains the resignation date.
Tax
The Tax Table menu contains the tax rates applied by the Indonesian government to taxpayers based on their income, known as the rate for Pph 21, which must be paid by each employee and is calculated based on their monthly salary.
Fill in the fields of the Tax Table, including the applicable tax regulations:
- Minimum Taxable Amount: The minimum income subject to tax, usually equal to the local minimum wage (UMR or UMK).
- Non-taxable Amount: The amount of income not subject to tax.
- Title Percentage: Job title cost calculated at 5% of total income.
- Maximum Title Amount: The maximum job title cost, which is Rp.108,000.00.
- Income Tax Table and Rates: Fill in the income amounts and tax rates:
- Income less than Rp. 25,000,000 will be taxed at 5%.
- Income between Rp. 25,000,000 and Rp. 50,000,000 will be taxed at 10%.
- Income between Rp. 50,000,000 and Rp. 100,000,000 will be taxed at 15%.
- Income between Rp. 100,000,000 and Rp. 200,000,000 will be taxed at 25%.
- Income above Rp. 200,000,000 will be taxed at 35%.
Deposit
This menu explains the employee deposit information. This feature is intended for cases where employees are paid in cash, but the company does not provide payment down to the smallest currency unit, so any salary excess is considered a deposit.
Others
The Others menu explains other settings needed for the program, including:
- Use Clock Machine: Whether the company uses an attendance program with a time clock machine. If yes, click "yes."
- Paid Prorate Assurance: Whether the insurance payment for new employees is prorated. If yes, click "yes."
Tax Setup
Fill in the fields of the Tax Setup, including the applicable tax regulations:
- Rounding: Specifies how many decimal places to round the tax.
- Tax rounding: Check the box if rounding is applied.
- Tax Calculation Method: The tax calculation method, whether fictitious or accumulative.
- Set Tax paid by Government: Whether there is any tax subsidy from the government.
Once the Payroll setup is complete, click the save button.
